BOOTY vs BOODIE or even BOOTIE, for "lagniappe is lawful booty!". Since pirates are in the news today I decided to comment and start a discussion on "boodie", pardon moire I meant booty. To me, a descendant of truly successful Creole pirates, it all means da same thing. For years I wondered where did the word boodie, in reference to a woman' s drier/buttocks. Yeah, that's right once again coming out from under the rock of Treme' it's Chockopie of the Creole Nation! A Native-Amerikana nick name given to me by my pa' pa'. Anyone out there care to discuss linguistics as it relates to my "instinctive" ability to formulate and theorize about the possibilities of this word we call boodie? I believe that these two words are synonymous in the definition of an obtainable "prize" or goal. Creole women are known for their driers and pirates are known to plunder and get all the booty they can. Right guys? Creole bells of colure are especially proud to sache' or strut their "stuff". That brings me to another hypothesis in linguistics; in fact what does the word "bell" refer to in describing women or a "fine" young lady? Right ladies? Can anybody help me with my dilemma. For there's a lot of ass and profit to acquire through hard work and even lagniappe down here in de' Treme'. Especially in honest entrepreneurial opportunities afforded to those mates who dare to invest in our communities. The second lines that pass down my street are rich with both booty and boodie to be had for those willing to repatriate to de Treme'. Cause you know us Black Creoles are spiritually gifted in dance, and we know how to shake our "go-go" and "back that thang up" da street! There is also a great discussion on "more creole tours in New Orleans on the board...
